Youth stage rally demanding employment opportunities

KATHMANDU: Many youth staged a rally in Kathmandu on the occasion of the International Youth Day on Friday, demanding employment opportunities.

The rally was jointly organised by the Youth Advocacy Nepal, the Youth Federation of Indigenous Nationalities and 33 other organisations.

The rally started from Bhrikutimandap and marched through Bhadrakali, Sundhara and New Road before converging into a corner meet at Ratna Park.

The placards held by the participants  of the rally read 'Ensure rights of employment for youth', 'Utilise the youth's skill and capacity' and 'Create employment in the country'.

On the occasion, lawmaker Garima Shah expressed commitment that she would take possible initiative to ensure the participation of the younger generation in all state mechanism.

Similarly, Chairman of the YAN Naren Khatiwada also demanded equal participation of youths in policy-making level.
