BIRATNAGAR: Neuro Surgeon Dr Yam Bahadur Roka has been awarded 'Icons of Healthcare 2018' amid a special programme in Singapore on Saturday.

The award was conferred to Dr Roka for his contribution in neurosurgery in South-East Asia.

Dr Roka has been actively involved in neurosurgery, running free health camps and awareness programmes related to neurological disorders for the past eight years in the eastern region of Nepal.

He is currently associated with the Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital.
