BIRATNAGAR: An international film festival has been scheduled from November 8 to 10 in Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City of Sunsari district.

According to the festival main celebration committee, 25 films from several countries will be showcased during the festival.

In order to make necessary arrangements with regard to the festival, a sub-committee has been formed under the coordination of Nepal Film Development Board chair Keshav Bhattarai. Similarly, other sub-committees have also been constituted to facilitate arrangements for the event.

There is a plan to develop Dharan into a 'film city', informed Province-1 Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Hikmat Kumar Karki. Minister Karki is also the coordinator of the festival main celebration committee.
