NADA Auto Show adds mileage to the industry

THE 10TH EDITION OF THE MEGA EVENT DREW THOUSANDS OF POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS AND AUTO ENTHUSIASTS

KATHMANDU: At a time when the Nepali automobile industry was suffering from sluggish sales after the April 25 earthquake, the NADA Auto Show 2015 proved to be instrumental in providing some much needed mileage to the industry. Generating vibrancy in the domestic automobile market, the auto show concluded successfully on September 21. The 10th edition of the auto show drew thousands of potential customers and auto enthusiasts. The mega event was vibrant and lively in terms of providing both sales and promotion of automobile brands.

The major attractions at the auto show were fresh models of two-wheelers and four-wheelers, which were launched at the auto show. Almost all the automobile brands in Nepal introduced NADA special offers and most of them promoted their festive offers from the auto show. Moreover, it was an advantage for customer to enjoy spot financing and insurance facilities at the auto show.

“NADA Auto Show has been always proven beneficial for the automobile industry and this edition of the auto show was no exception,” said Karan Chaudhary, Executive Director of CG Motocorp, adding that they had a huge number of visitors and received more than 450 bookings for different models of Suzuki four-wheelers.

According to him, Swift and Alto topped their booking chart while S-Cross (launched at the auto show itself) alone received around 70 bookings. “Although this edition of the auto show witnessed more footfall compared to the previous edition, bookings were relatively low,” he said, adding that visitors seem to have developed a mindset of finalising deals at showrooms.

“Despite the adverse political situation of the country, NADA Auto Show was a huge success,” said Sunil Chhetri, Deputy General Manager at GO Automobiles, adding that the auto show played a pivotal role in creating vibrancy in the domestic market. Informing that they have received around 100 bookings at the auto show, he said, “We are hopeful the auto show will be instrumental in helping to boost festive sales even higher.” According to him, Eco-Sport and Figo Aspire were some of their most booked models at the auto show.

Meanwhile, Rupesh Sharma Bhatta, Assistant General Manager at Laxmi Intercontinental, said, “The auto show was impressive as the number of visitors at the event was outstanding,” adding that they are completely satisfied with the customers’ response they received during the auto show.
