Poet Dinesh Adhikari's poetry collection, Paniko Parade, has been officially released.
Marking 50 years since his poems first appeared in print, Publication Nepalaya has published this latest collection, it said in the statement today.
The book was formally launched with Adhikari gifting copies to two prominent poets of the younger generation, Momila and Navaraj Lamsal. Beginning his address with a recitation of his poem Aama (Mother), Adhikari also invited his wife, Usha Adhikari, to the stage and presented her with a copy of the book.
"My poetic journey began in Chaitra 2032 when two of my poems were published in Ratnashree," Adhikari shared during the book launch event. "From my first collection, Antarka Chhita, to my latest, Paniko Parade, this journey has been one of evolution and discovery," as stated in the statement.
Poet Dinesh Adhikari's latest poetry collection, Paniko Parade, features 77 carefully curated poems written over the past 15 years. The collection is structured into seven thematic sections: Jeevan Ko Jwar (The Tides of Life), Asthako Aakash (The Sky of Faith), Vakra-Barsha (Twisted Rain), Niyatika Nishwas (Destiny's Sighs), Prakritiko Padachap (Nature's Footprints), Paila-Pachhi Paila (Step After Step), and Premko Prakash (The Light of Love).
A recipient of the Madan Puraskar for his poetry collection Atirikta Abhilekh (Additional Archives), Adhikari's previous collection, Bhariyako Bhugol (The Geography of a Porter), was also published by Nepalaya.
The 180-page poetry collection Paniko Parade is priced at Rs. 525.
According to Publication Nepalaya, the book will be available at leading bookstores across Nepal. Additionally, it can be purchased both as a physical copy and an eBook through Amazon and Thuprai.com (www.thuprai.com).
