Author Om Rijal's second novel, Paikelo, was officially released on Saturday at the 'r' sala in Kalikasthan, in an event organized by Publication Nepalaya.
According to a statement from Nepalaya, the publishing house, the launch ceremony featured Rijal presenting copies of the book to historian Bhaveshwar Pangeni and his daughter, Spriha, marking the formal unveiling of the novel.
Born and raised in Dullu, Dailekh, author Om Rijal stated that his novel Paikelo was inspired by the folklore, language, and culture of Karnali. He emphasized the significance of Karnali as the cradle of Nepali language, civilization, and cultural heritage. Author Rijal further noted that the region's folk literature reflects profound aspects of society, culture, and history.
