Gionee launched its latest flagship model S Plus in the local market on February 23 while it is preparing to launch one more offering — S6 within this week.   “Both these handsets, whose design and details has been crafted carefully are expected to impress users with performance too,” said Samir Dhungana, Marketing Manager at Teletalk Nepal, authorised distributor of Gionee mobiles.According to him, the handsets have a unique smart power consumption system that avoids battery from being drained fast. Also the smartphones charging and data port uses the new USB Type-C standard with reversible connecter.

Gionee S Plus

The device has DTS sound technology which delivers superior audio and is customised end-to-end with different lock styles including face unlock.

Design

It has a stylish 7.5mm slim body with a diamond patterned back panel and has ergonomic design.

Display

It has a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection.

Operating System

This dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 5.1 and has Chipset MT6753. It is powered by Octa Core 1.3 GHz processor.

Memory and Network

It has 3GB RAM and 16GB ROM which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. It supports 4G connectivity.

Camera

It is equipped with 13MP rear camera with fast focus under 0.33 second and fast capture with 0.3 second which can shoot pictures even in low light. Likewise, it has 5MP front camera for super sharp selfies.

Battery

It packs a removable Li-ion 3150mAh battery.

Colour

The handset is available in three colours: Dark blue, White and Golden.

Price

The smartphone is priced at Rs 24,900.

Gionee S6

With the 6.9mm thickness, the smartphone comes under the list of slimmest smartphones till date. One of its special features is its Kids Home app created to save the phone when children use it.

It has a symmetric design and has a strong full metal unibody. This well crafted handset is slim, shiny and gives great touch feeling.

It has a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 for protection.

Operating System

The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based on the company’s own software Amigo 3.1. It is powered by 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753T processor.

This dual-SIM smartphone has 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. It supports 4G connectivity.

S6 is packs a powerful non-removable Li-Ion 3150 mAh battery.

Colour

The handset will be available in four colours— Black, Gold, Silver and Rose Gold.

Price

According to Dhungana, the company is yet to decide the price of the handset which will be above Rs 37,000.
