Kathmandu: After a hiatus of about four years, the TGIF Nepal Fashion Week is making its comeback in 2022.
The three-day fashion extravaganza starts on the evening of September 22 and continues till September 24 at Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu.
With the aim to make this fashion week the best for its audience, everyone involved - from the designers to models, makeup artists to the production team - has left no stone unturned in the preparations.
Packed with surprises that will be revealed as the days progress, the TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2022 is on its way to being the grandest version of itself.
A total of 25 models - 20 female models and five male models - as well as showstoppers will be walking on the runway for a total of 20 designers. An audition for models was held on August 17. Out of the 99 applicants, 25 were selected and trained for six days. Model Aastha Pokharel is the choreographer of the event. This invite-only event will also be live streamed with high-quality video cameras. The models will be walking only to copyright-free music in classical, EDM or energetic beats. Some designers have taken the initiative to create their own original beats to match aesthetics of their collections.
This year the focus is to highlight the apparels by keeping the majority of the makeup theme neutral and minimalistic.
Nude presents The Himalayan Times TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2022 in association with Carlsberg and XUV700 and coloured by Asian Paints will feature seven to eight designers' designs daily which will be followed by an after-party. Farmasi is the make-up partner of the event supported by FYMO and Hyatt Regency Kathmandu.
