HH Bajaj, autho-rised distributor of Bajaj Motorcycles launched its much awaited 2016 range of new Avengers — Street 150, Street 220 and Cruise 220 on April 10. The Avenger 220 Cruise gives the classic cruiser comfort and looks whereas the new Avenger Street is designed for easy city riding. The Avenger Street 150 has been introducedto bring the genuine cruiser experience to the large set of emerging 150 cc users.

These three variants are equipped with a powerful DTSi engine with twin spark plugs, which adds more power to the rides. The Street 150 comes with air-cooled engine while the Street 220 and Cruise 220 come with oil-cooled engine. Both Avenger 220 delivers maximum power of 19 PS at 8400 rpm and a peak torque of 17.5 Nm at 7000 rpm. The Avenger 150 Street delivers a maximum power of 14.5 PS at 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 12.5 Nm at 6500 rpm.

The new Avengers come with a brand new insignia, new graphics and styling cues with improved rear suspension, bright white light headlamps, clear lens indicators and low slung seats with thicker dual density foam for superior riding comfort. The Avenger 220 Cruise comes with comfortable padded backrest and an optional windshield while the Avenger 220 Street comes with a matte black and brushed silver finish. The 150cc Street equipped with muscular alloy wheels giving sporty and youthful looks.

The engine of these bikes are mated to a five-speed gearbox. These bikes offer an impressive ground clearance of 169 mm. The fuel tank capacity of the bikes is 14 litres.

All the variants of Avenger share the same front tele-scopic suspension with anti friction bush and a twin shock absorber at the rear. The Street 150 is equipped with 240 mm disc brake at the front while that of Street 220 and Cruise 220 is 260 mm disc brake. However, all these bikes share the same 130 mm drum brake at the rear.

All Avengers series will be available in all the Bajaj outlets across the nation with introductory price of Avenger Cruise 220 at Rs 294,900, Avenger Street 220 at Rs 284,900 and Avenger Street 150 at Rs 249,900 respectively.
