Wood art festival in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: A week-long wood art festival is being held in Kathmandu currently, on the occasion of World Wood Day.

The World Wood Day is a cultural event held annually to highlight wood as an eco-friendly and renewable biomaterial and demonstrate the key role of wood in a sustainable future.

In the festival, around 9,000 renderings of temples have created in the memory of the people killed in Nepal earthquakes in 2015.
