Two centenarian voters exercised their franchise in the House of Representatives (HoR) election on Thursday, highlighting strong public participation in the polls.
In Tanahu, 107-year-old Ganesh Bahadur Rawat cast his vote at the Nirmal Basic Secondary School polling centre in Bankewa, Shuklagandaki Municipality–3 under Tanahu Constituency-2. After voting, Rawat said he was happy to take part in the democratic process.
Similarly, in Jhapa, 104-year-old Tulasa Koirala voted at the Dhulabari Secondary School polling centre in Mechinagar Municipality–10 under Jhapa Constituency-1. She reached the polling station with the support of her son and grandson.
The participation of elderly voters was seen as a reflection of citizens' enthusiasm in the ongoing HoR election being held across the country.
