KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 11
The Election Commission has directed political parties and candidates contesting the upcoming House of Representatives election to publish and submit their election manifestos by Falgun 3.
According to a decision made by the Commission, political parties participating in the Falgun 21 election, as well as candidates contesting under the first-past-the-post system, must submit their manifestos in accordance with Section 37 of the Election Code of Conduct, 2082.
Joint Secretary and Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said political parties must submit their published manifestos to the Commission, while candidates are required to submit theirs to the respective election offices, as per Section 57 of the Political Parties Act, 2073.
The Commission stated that timely publication and submission of manifestos are necessary to ensure transparency and compliance with election regulations.
