POKHARA: Sahara Club, Hong Kong donated Rs 1,500,000 to the Pokhara-based Sahara Academy, raised by organising the third Sahara Evening in Hong Kong recently.

Sahara Club Hong Kong had raised a total of Rs 47,000,000 by organising the event of which Rs 1.5 million has been donated to Academy, according to Kumar Gurung, treasurer at the Sahara Club, Hong Kong.

Gurung further informed that Rs 500,000 from the remaining amount will be donated for the reconstruction of Haimung Secondary School in Sindhupalchok district,

The third of such event had been organised in Hong Kong to help the children with economic difficulties at Sahara Academy in Pokhara.
