KATHMANDU: A person was critically injured in a truck accident in Namtar VDC-2 of Makawanpur district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as the truck driver's assistant Mandeep Pulami (20) of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-21 in the district.

The incident occurred when the truck (Na 6 Kha 1253) laden with gas cylinders went out of control and turned turtle at around midnight yesterday.

Pulami was rushed to Kathmandu for further treatment after he could not be treated there.

The search is on for the truck driver who fled the scene after the incident, said police.
