KATHMANDU: A person died and two other sustained injuries after the tractor they were travelling on met with an accident in Baraha Tal Rural Municipality-8 of Surkhet district on Saturday night.

The deceased has been identified as passenger Aashish Nepali (16) of  Birendranagar Municipality-1 in the district and injured as driver Jite Nepal (28) of Ghodabas in Dailekh district andpassenger Kshitiz Bista (14) of Baraha Tal Rural Municipality.

According to police, the incident occurred when the tractor (Bhe 1 Ta 8490) lost its control and fell on the road in Damare at 7:00 pm yesterday, critically injuring three.

The injured trio were rushed to the Kalagaun-based Regional Hospital where Aashish Nepali breathed his last during the course of treatment while other two have been undergoing treatment there, informed police.

It has been learnt that the driver is in critical condition.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
