BIRATNAGAR: A person died and two other severely injured in a scooter accident at Kairon on Sunday evening.

According to Area Police Office of Pathari, the deceased has been identified as Bikas Tamrakar of Dharan-10.

Police further said that critically injured Tamrakar’s wife, Anjana (25) and sister Saina (17) are receiving treatment at Biratnagar-based hospital.

The incident occurred when the four -wheeler (Ko 1 Kha 4314) en route towards the west from the east collided with another scooter coming from opposite direction.

The bus driver and the impounded bus were under police custody for further investigation.
