One person was killed and two injured in two separate road mishaps here on Tuesday. A bus helper, Krishna Bahadur Budhathoki, of Banke district was killed on the spot when a jeep heading west from Butwal hit a bus at Ramapur in Rupandehi on the Mahendra Highway. In another mishap, two persons riding a motorbike were injured when a microbus hit the motorcycle at Manigram of Siddhartha Highway on Tuesday. Students of Lumbini Banijya Campus, demanding action against the microbus driver and compensation for the victim, halted traffic on the highway at Butwal from 9 am. Most of the Butwal-based boarding schools were closed due to the traffic obstruction.
