NAWALPARASI: A tanker driver died while ferrying LP gas from India after he met with an accident at Dumkibas-5 in Nawalparasi district along the East-West Highway on Sunday.

Police said that driver Sonu Kumar Thapa (24) of Patna in Bihar, India, lost his life when the gas bullet with the Indian registration number NL 1 L 3922 overturned after losing control.

Currently, his body is being kept at a primary health care centre in Dumkauli, police informed.

Meanwhile, four persons have sustained injuries after a truck and LP gas bullet collided last night in a separate road accident at the same location. All four injured are receiving treatment in the Bharatpur Medical College, Chitwan, according to police.
