KAWASOTI: A person died and four others were injured in a bus-car collision at Lokaha Bridge in Nawalparasi along the East-West Highway on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Narayani Adhikari (40) of Prasauni-2 in the district.

He was travelling int the car when the incident took place.

Adhikari, who sustained serious injuries on his head, died while undergoing treatment at the Bharatpur Medical College, according to the Area Police Office, Nawalpur.

The incident occurred when the bus (Na 4 Kha 7799) heading towards Nepalgunj from Pokhara collided head-on with the car (Ba 13 Cha 1617) last night, Assistant Sub-Inspector Tikaram Paudel.

Those who were injured in the incident have already returned home after receiving treatment at a local health post, ASI Paudel informed.
