GULMI: A person was killed in a mud mound collapse in Gulmi on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Champa Pariyar (26) of Hunga-2 of the district, Inspector Shailendra Bhatta of the District Police Office, Gulmi informed.

Saraswoti Ramjali (40) Narayan Bhandari (35) and Bhakta Bahadur Ramjali (45) of the same locality sustained severe injuries in the incident.

Following the incident, they were rushed to Palpa for treatment.

The victims had entered the tunnel to collect to clay to smear their houses.

Pariyar is survived by her spouse, a son and a daughter.

In a separate incident, Pushpa Pathak (21) of Amrai-9 of Paudi was critically injured after she got buried in a mud mound collapse.

She is receiving treatment at a local health centre.
