BAJURA: A man died and another is missing after they jumped into a river in Bajura district on Sunday Morning.

The deceased have been identified as Man Singh Bista (61) and Jay Bahadur Bista (53), both are shamans residing in Jagannath Rural Municipality-1 of the district.

According to the locals, Bista duo had gathered the locals to witness their divine power and jumped into the Karnali River today morning.

Following their jump, Man Singh was found dead by the riverside while Jay Bahadur is still missing after being swept away, informed Chief District Officer Luk Bahadur Chhettri.

Meanwhile, search is on for the missing and further investigation into the case is underway, said District Police Office, Bajura.
