RAJBIRAJ: As many as 11 persons sustained injuries when a police team clashed with locals following a fatal road accident in Pansera, Khojpur of Saptari district on Wednesday afternoon.

Four police personnel including Inspector Rajendra Yadav and seven locals were hurt in the clash ensued after police intervened into a demonstration carried out by the locals.

Police had also used 11 shells of tear gas and opened two fires in the air to control the mob.

The locals had resorted to the demonstration and set a truck on fire when the vehicle killed an 11-year-old boy here.

Arjun Ram had breathed his last on the spot after the vehicle (Ba 2 Kha 6180) hit him along the East-West Highway.

The minor was getting off a van when he was hit by the truck.
