KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 24
Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 789,872 on Friday with 1,103 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 758,504 with 1,550 discharges logged today.
On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 11,081 with nine more fatalities.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 20,287 against 20,743 a day before.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 15,690 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 10,575 were PCR tests while 5,115 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,146,783 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 373 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 1,476.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 96.03 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
Currently, there are 244 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
The capital district holds the highest number of infections with 256 cases in the country. Kaski is second in line with 117 cases while Jhapa has 114 cases today.
So far, a total of 12,326,608 people has received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 6,380,586 have received the first dose while only 5,946,022 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.
Globally, over 231 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4.7 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 208 million people have recovered while more than 18 million cases are still active.
