SOLUKHUMBU: A study by the Solukhumbu District Disaster Preparedness Response Plan stated that 12 VDCs of the district are at a high risk of landslides.

The report has identified Bhakanje, Chaulakharka, Waku, c, Bunga, Deusa, Gudel, Jubu, Salyan, Tingla, Sotang and Mukli as highly threatened VDCs by the landslides.

Over 16,000 people are estimated to have been residing in these VDCs.
