KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 22
Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 787,828 on Wednesday with 1,251 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 755,630 with 1,630 discharges logged today.
On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 11,059 with six more fatalities.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 13,930 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 11,067 were PCR tests while 2,863 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,124,579 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 227 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 1,478.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 95.9 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 21,139.
Currently, there are 243 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
The capital district holds the highest number of infections with 355 cases in the country. Lalitpur is second in line with 151 cases while Kaski has 133 cases today.
So far, a total of 11,985,633 people has received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 6,232,780 have received the first dose while only 5,752,853 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.
Globally, over 230 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4.7 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 207 million people have recovered while more than 18 million cases are still active.
