SALLERI, SOLUKHUMBU: At least 13 houses are at high risk of landslide in Sotang Rural Municipality-2 in Solukhumbu district.

“The erosion of local Chamkhu gorge that started two years ago after the Gorkha earthquake is fast-advancing toward the settlement, risking the entire village,” said local resident Naina Bahadur Rai.

As a result, without any option left, locals have been forced to spend sleepless nights for their life.

The repeated calls to the concerned authority to seek solution have been largely ignored, they complained.
