14 hurt in Dhading accident

DHADING: As many as fourteen persons were injured in a jeep accident at Maidi Amarai in Jwalamukhi Rural Municipality-3 of Dhading district on Tuesday.

According to the District Police Office, Dhandig, three persons were referred to Kathmandu and others are undergoing treatment at the District Hospital in Dhadingbesi.

The incident occurred when a Bolero jeep (Ba 13 Cha 5230) heading to Maidi from Dhadingbesi lost control after break failure in a steep remote rural road around 4:00 pm today, injuring all persons on board, police said.

"The jeep went into reverse gear after reaching the steep road and rammed on to a drinking water tape in the area," according to an eye witness.

Meanwhile, further investigation is underway, police said.
