KATHMANDU: As many as 14 persons were injured in a bus-truck collision in Manebhanjyang Rural Municipality-7 of Okhaldhunga district on Tuesday night, police said.

The incident occurred when the bus (Ba 3 Kha 173) collided head-on with the truck (Na 5 Kha 6385) at 9:00 pm yesterday, informed police.

According to police, 45-year-old Runche Tharu of Bardiya district and 48-year-old Ratna Shrestha of Kathmandu district have been seriously injured in the accident and are brought to Kathmandu for treatment, while the rest were discharged after normal treatment at the local health facilities.

Meanwhile, local police have impounded the vehicles for further investigation, said police.
