A 14-member expedition team has set out to attempt the Annapurna ascent this spring as granted by the Department of Tourism under the Government of Nepal.
The team is led by Indian mountaineer Kakka Keval Hiren and the expedition is being organised by Satori Adventures Pvt Ltd.
The group of mountaineers comprises nationals from India, China, Canada, Russia, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Andorra, Spain and South Korea.
Annapurna is the 10th highest peak in the world and is situated at a height of 8,091 metres above the sea level.
