NEPALGUNJ, JANUARY 17

Police arrested 15 persons in relation to the murder of assistant informant Prabin Thapa working at National Investigation Department, Banke.

Police started an investigation taking into custody the girl Thapa was in love with. Police have not disclosed the girl’s name.

Police seized various materials from the incident site. Prabin Thapa, 27, of was found dead in Nepalgunj last Friday.

Police had carried out the investigation with the help of a sniffer dog.

SP Om Bahadur Rana at Banke District Police Office said that the body had bruises all over. “Police have arrested 15 persons suspecting their role in Thapa’s killing,” said SP Rana.

Thapa was in contact till Thursday night.

The body was handed over to family members after post-mortem was conducted at Bheri Hospital. His body was cremated yesterday. “We are investigating the case very seriously,” said SP Rana.
