15 trucks of smuggled coal seized

Bhairahawa, March 4 :

Indian police seized 15 trucks of coal being smuggled into Nepal at the Sunauli check post last night. The coal worth Rs 700,000 was being supplied by three fake companies with fake documents, said, Ramesh Pratap, Police Inspector at Sunauli Police Post in UP, India.

The documents revealed that the coal was being imported from Mau area of India by three Bhairahawa-based companies called Damodar Ji Jaya Ambe Coal Suppliers, Dipak Ji Jaya Ambe Suppliers and Sagar Ji Jaya Ambe Suppliers. The drivers of the trucks have been sent to Gorakhapur Jail for interrogation, inspector Ramesh said.
