KAWASOTI: As many as 16 persons were injured after the bus they were travelling on overturned in Kawasoti of Nawalpur along the East-West Highway on Thursday morning.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Lilaraj Lamichhane of Nawalpur, the incident occurred when the bus (Na 6 Kha 6301) en route from Dang to Kathmandu lost control and overturned at 3:00 am today.

Among the injured, 12 persons are receiving treatment at Kali Gandaki Hospital in Kawasoti while seriously injured four were rushed to Bharatpur Medical College, Chitwan for further treatment.

The seriously injured have been identified as Puja Tamang (26) of Satbariya, Kalpana Budhamagar (30) of Lamahi, Ram Dulli Chaudhary (47) and Pradeshu Chaudhary (50) of Deukhuri, all in Dang district.

Around 45 passengers were travelling on the ill-fated bus, informed DSP Lamichhane.
