18 injured in mishaps

Dhading, October 23:

Altogether 18 persons were injured in two separate road accidents today. Condition of six victims is reported to be critical.

Two passenger buses collided at Khanikhola, Naubise-6, of Dhading along the Tribhuvan Highway, injuring 13 persons. A bus belonging to Makalu Yatayat heading towards Madhumalla from Kathmandu and another bus heading towards Kathmandu from Gaur collided with each other.

All the injured were rescued and were taken to Kathmandu for treatment, Area Police Office, Khanikhola said. Condition of five of them is reported to be critical, police said.

Likewise, five persons were injured when a truck loaded with vegetables heading towards Kathmandu from Simbhanjyang met with an accident at Aghor of Makawanapur district in the midnight.

Nepal Free Transport Workers’ Union (Prithvi Highway), Dharke informed that the truck fell 100 metres down the road at Gairigaun. The injured are undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital, police said.
