KATHMANDU: Two people died and another was injured when a minitruck met with an accident in Manthali of Ramechhap district on Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as Dinesh Majhi (20) and Kumar Majhi (21) of Bhirpani-1, informed Police Inspector Prem Joshi, spokesperson of the Ramechhap District Police Office.

Three people were on board the ill-fated truck (Ba 4 Kha 1755), which was ferrying sand to Galwa from Manthali, when the vehicle fell some 100 metres down the road, Joshi added.

Injured Jugal Magar of Bhirpani-1 is currently being treated at the Tamakoshi Cooperative Hospital in Manthali.

The cause of the accident is yet to be confirmed, informed Joshi.
