POKHARA: Two youth died and one went missing while swimming in a canal near the Seti River at Khalte Masina of Pokhara-18, on Thursday.

In the incident, a teenager was rescued from the River today.

According to the Kaski District Police Office, the deceased have been identified as Shankar GC (17) and Abhisekh Baruwal (17), permanent residents of Parbat.

Suresh Malla (18) went missing whereas Rajiv Malla (17) was rescued before he was swept away.

All four of them were supposed to go to school, but went for swimming in the River instead, said police.

A police team led by Inspector Bed Prakash Joshi, Chief of Rambazaar Ward Police Office, reached the incident site and searched for Suresh till late evening, but in vain.
