RAUTAHAT: Police said two kids have drowned in a pond in Fatuwa Bijayapur Municipality of Rautahat district today.

Rautahat District Police Office retrieved two bodies, one of 6-year-old Roshan Kumar Yadav and another of 4-year-old Kundan Kumar Yadav, from the pond around 2:00 pm this afternoon.

Police Inspector Manoj Yadav said the two kids might have accidentally fallen into the pond while playing around the area. The pond is just 300 metres away from the house.

Meanwhile, police said an investigation is underway.
