KATHMANDU: Two persons died in a motorbike-bus collision in Saldandi of Rupandehi district on Monday.

The deceased have been identified as rider Bikash Basnet (20) and pillion rider Min Bhandari(22) of Sainamaina, Rupandehi.

The motorbike (Lu 6 Pa 7306) collided head-on with the bus (Lu 1 Kha 9208) yesterday evening, police said.

Police said that 10-month-old Ayush BK was injured in the incident and is being treated at the Lumbini Regional Hospital, Butwal.

He was in the bus when the accident took place.

The Area Police Office, Saldandi has impounded the bus and arrested its driver for investigation.
