DHADING: Two persons died while three others sustained injuries while a truck plunged into a stream in Dhading district in the wee hours of Saturday.

The truck (Na 5 Kha 7717) en route to Hetaunda of Makawanpur from Kathmandu had fallen into the Maheshkhola stream from the Prithvi Highway in Bhumesthan of Dhading at around 3 am today.

The ill-fated vehicle's driver Manahar Dhital from Hetaunda and his assistant Abinash Ghimire were killed in the accident.

Police said the three injured were sent to Kathmandu for further treatment.

The vehicle skilled off the road as it was muddy following a rainfall, police suspected.
