2 killed 3 injured as jeep plunges

CHAUTARA: Two persons were killed on the spot and three others were injured when a private Bolero jeep fell down 200 metres below the road in Sagachowk along Araniko Highway on Saturday night.

The deceased has been identified as Dambar Upreti, a local resident of Dolakha and Roshan Sivakoti, a local resident of Jhapa.

The injured are Tek Raj Sivakotu 36, Ashok Sivakoti 33 residents of Dolakaha and Dikchanta Bista of Okhaldhunga.

All of the injured are undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital.

The jeep was returning from a programme of SIvakoti Society when the accident occured.

Meanwhile two youths Utsav Devkota 9, a local resident of Ratnanagar Municipality and Bhim Bahadur BK 60, a local resident of Bhandara VDC drowned at separate places in Chitwan on Saturday.

Devkota died after drowning while he was swimming in a local pond while BK fell into a water well by accident.
