JANAKPURDHAM: A bus hit a motorcycle in Mithila Municipality of Dhanusha district on Saturday afternoon, killing two on the spot.

Santosh Mandal (35) from Kshireshwor Municipality-6 and Jangalu Mandal (55) from Bhuthi Paterwa-9 of the district died in the accident, according to the Dhanusha District Police Office.

The duo were riding on the motorcycle (Sa 5 Pa 1977) while the bus (Na 3 Kha 1772) heading toward the opposite direction hit the two-wheeler at Nakatajhijh of Mithila Municipality along the Janakpur-Dhalkebar road at around 1 pm today.

The bus was heading to Janakpur from Dhhalkebar.

The bodies have been sent to the Janakpur Zonal Hospital for postmortem.
