KATHMANDU: Two persons died when a microbus hit a motorcycle they were riding on at Benighat in Dhading district on Monday evening.

According to the Area Police Office, Benighat, the deceased have been identified as biker Soman KC (25) of Syangja district and pillion rider Bikash Aryal (25) of Gulmi district.

Police said that the incident occurred when the microbus (Ba 73 Pa 8692) heading towards Kathmandu from Chitwan hit the bike (Ba 73 Pa 8692) en route to Benighat from Gajuri at around 6 pm yesterday.

Police said that they are searching for the microbus driver who fled the scene after the incident.
