DHANKUTA: Two UCPN-Maoist cadres injured today in a clash with the CPN-UML workers at Arkhaule of Jitpur. The Maoists have claimed that the clash occurred as UML cadres obstructed their programme at Jitpur Bazaar. District in-charge of the Maoists, Thamansingh Rai informed that Jit Bahadur Shrestha and Bhoj Bahadur Khadka were among the injured. Both of them are undergoing treatment. Rai has demanded that the culprit be brought to books.

Meanwhile, district coordinator of Youth Force, Prabin Pokharel claimed that the villagers had attacked the Maoists cadres. He added,' the villagers intervened as the programme was organised to announce parallel local body.'

Jitpur area has remained tensed after the incident. Citing, possibility of an untoward incidents security in the area has been beefed up, said the police.
