DHANGADHI: Twenty people were injured after a passenger bus and cargo-laden truck collided head-on in Doti district of far-western Nepal on Sunday.

The passenger bus (Na 5 Kha 3491) heading to Dipayal from Kanchanpur met with an accident with the cargo truck (Na 4 Kha 5044) en route to Butwal from Dadeldhura district at Rupaskada in Chatiwan VDC-9 of Doti.

According to Sub-Inspector Lalit Chand, who is in-charge of Budar Area Police Office, eight of the injured have been receiving treatment at the Dadeldhura-based Sub-Zonal Hospital and 12 others at the Budar Health Post.

All of them are out of dange, he said.
