NUWAKOT: More than 20 persons have been injured, four of them in critical condition, when a bus they were travelling on fell below the road at Sunakheti in Bidur Municipality-9 of Nuwakot district this morning.

The bus — heading to Trishuli of Nuwakot district from Bhungtang — fell 40 meters below the road when it swerved to the side to give way to another vehicle coming from the opposite direction, informed District Police Office, Nuwakot.

The injured are undergoing treatment at Trishuli District Hospital, Nuwakot.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
