PHIDIM: At least 23 persons were injured after a bus met with an accident at Phidim in Panchthar on Sunday.

The condition of three passengers is said to be critical. The bus, en route to Taplejung from Birtamod, Jhapa, turned turtle after losing control.

Police said Dhan Bahadur Thapa, 56, and Bhakta Maya Thapa, 63, of Amarpur, Panchthar, and Arjun Kunwar, 50, of Aambedung, Taplejung, were critically injured in the accident.

Police said the trio was referred to health facilities of Jhapa and Sunsari districts after their treatment was not possible at the District Hospital.
