Palpa, November 1:

Two dozen quake-resistant primary schools are to be built in Palpa district. Those buildings can resist an earthquake measuring eight on the Richter scale .

These school buildings (blocks) to be jointly built by the district education office Palpa and Joint Endeavour for Children Palpa will be qualitative, child-friendly and earthquake-resistant. This is the first such application of technology in Lumbini zone as a whole, said Palpa district education officer Nava Raj Sharma. Construction of 27 such buildings are on , said accounts officer at the Palpa district education office Lila Aryal.
