Police seized suspected heroin, tapentadol, cannabis, tramadol, pregabalin and other drugs during separate operations in 10 districts.

Police have arrested 25 people across 10 districts in a series of drug-related operations, seizing suspected brown heroin, tapentadol, cannabis, tramadol, pregabalin and other drugs.

According to the Central Police News Room, the arrests were made during regular patrols in Kaski, Morang, Sunsari, Bardiya, Dhanusha, Jhapa, Lalitpur, Kailali, Tanahun and Udayapur on Friday and Saturday.

The largest reported seizure involved 349.36 grams of suspected brown heroin, recovered from a 52-year-old man in Bardiya's Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality-2. Police also arrested a 28-year-old man in Dhanusha's Videha Municipality-8 with 39.36 grams of suspected brown heroin.

In Kaski, police arrested five people from Pokhara Metropolitan City-1, Simpani, with 220 tapentadol tablets. A 21-year-old man was subsequently arrested from a rented room in Pokhara-25, Hemja, with another 800 tapentadol tablets.

Police also arrested three people in Morang in separate cases involving 390mg and 2.5 grams of suspected brown heroin and around 100 grams of cannabis.

In Sunsari, three people were arrested in Itahari-10 with 5.85 grams of suspected brown heroin, while a man in Jhapa's Birtamod-3 was arrested with 490mg of suspected brown heroin.

In Lalitpur, three people were arrested in two separate cases. Police seized 60 tramadol tablets and four grams of pollen from two people in Harisiddhi, while another man was arrested in Imadol with 710 tapentadol and 24 pregabalin tablets.

Police also arrested four people in Kailali with 1.13 grams of suspected brown heroin, two in Tanahun with around 1.55kg of cannabis, and two in Udayapur with 61 tapentadol tablets.

Police said further investigation into the cases is under way.
