DHANKUTA, AUGUST 5
Police have arrested a man on suspicion of possessing brown heroin in Dhankuta, according to the District Police Office.
The suspect, Hari Tamang, 32, of Pakhribas Municipality-7, was apprehended after a joint team from the District Police Office and Hile Police Post searched him near Hile Campus in Ward No. 1 of Dhankuta Municipality, where he was reportedly behaving suspiciously.
Police said they recovered a sticky substance suspected to be brown heroin, wrapped in green plastic and concealed in Tamang's pocket.
District Police Office spokesperson DSP Hemanta Bhandari Chhetri said Tamang has been taken into custody for further investigation.
