27 per cent of allocated budget spent in six months: Fin Min

KATHMANDU: Government has spent Rs 340.19 billion, 27 percent of the total budget, during six months of the current fiscal year, Finance Ministry informed.

According to the Ministry, the expenditure pattern till November in the current fiscal is progressive. The current expenditure stands at Rs 200.92 billion while capital expenditure amounts to Rs 31.99 billion.

It is said that the government has directed the projects and offices through respective ministries to hike up the capital expenditure.

Likewise, 95.56 per cent of total revenue collection target of Rs 200.12 billion has been collected by the government resulting in a 114.97 per cent increase as compared to the first six months of the last fiscal year.
