3 arrested on charge of cheating people for temporary police job

PARSA: Three persons have been arrested on charge of swindling money from locals in pretext of getting them a job as the temporary police.

The government has been recruiting people as temporary police person to serve during the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives and state assemblies.

"Hari Narayan Ram, Basundev Yadav and Chathu Mahara Chamar of Bahudarmai Municipality were arrested for taking money from people to get them recruited as temporary police persons," SP Ganesh Regmi at the Parsa District Police Office was quoted in the Rastriya Samachar Samiti as saying.

Acting on a tip-off, police arrested the trio along with evidence of their fraudulent activities.

Police also recovered 22 sets of original entrance card of examinees, 20 duplicate copies of such cards, five health check-up reports, three mobile telephone sets and Rs 37,100 cash.
